Louvre Museum

Louvre Museum established in 1793, is located in Paris, France. Originally a royal palace, its expansive neoclassical architecture is iconic, with the glass pyramid entrance designed by I.M. Pei added in 1989. The Louvre houses one of the world’s largest and most diverse art collections, featuring masterpieces by prominent artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and Rembrandt. Notable works include the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. Its collections span from ancient civilizations to the 19th century, aiming to preserve, research, and exhibit art and artifacts. As one of the most visited museums globally, the Louvre attracts millions of visitors each year, serving as a major cultural and historical landmark in Paris. Read more about Museums.
