LACMA

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA ) is located at 5905 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. The institution is the largest art museum in the western United States. Located on Museum Row on Wilshire Boulevard, LACMA’s expansive campus features a wide-ranging collection of over 142,000 objects from ancient times to the present. Notable works include pieces by Diego Rivera, Henri Matisse and René Magritte. The museum is known for its diverse collections encompassing Asian, Latin American, Islamic and European art. Significant installations include Chris Burden’s “Urban Light” and Michael Heizer’s “Levitated Mass.” LACMA hosts major exhibitions, such as “Renaissance and Reformation: German Art in the Age of Dürer and Cranach” and “Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters.” The museum also offers extensive educational programs, film screenings, and public events, contributing to its role as a vital cultural hub in Los Angeles.
