ICA Boston

The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Boston, founded in 1936, is located on the Boston waterfront, in a building designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in 2006. ICA Boston’s permanent collection includes works by artists such as Kara Walker, Cindy Sherman and Shepard Fairey, featuring a diverse array of contemporary art forms, including visual art, performance and new media. The museum hosts innovative exhibitions, often highlighting emerging and mid-career artists. In addition to contemporary art, the ICA Boston offers educational programs, public events and performances. It also engages with the local art community, supporting contemporary art through various initiatives. Read more about Museums.
