Cynthia Nixon
Cynthia Nixon, born in 1966, is an American actress and activist. Nixon is best known for her portrayal of Miranda Hobbes in the HBO series "Sex and the City" (1998–2004), which earned her an Emmy Award. She returned to the role in the Sex and the City films and revival show "And Just Like That..." (2021-present). Her extensive theater work includes a Tony Award-winning performance in "Rabbit Hole" (2006). Nixon has also been active in politics, running for Governor of New York in the 2018 Democratic primary. Her advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, education and healthcare reform has made her a prominent voice in American political and social discourse.
