Sofia Coppola
Sofia Coppola, born in 1971, is an American filmmaker, actress and daughter of famed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Sofia Coppola received the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for "Lost in Translation" (2003) and became the second woman (and the first American woman) to win the Cannes Film Festival's Best Director award for "The Beguiled" (2017). Her other notable films include "The Virgin Suicides" (1999), "Marie Antoinette" (2006), "Somewhere" (2010) and "Priscilla" (2023). Coppola's work is known for its style, elegance and exploration of themes such as loneliness and disconnection.
