Roy Lichtenstein
Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist born in 1923. He is best known for his paintings and prints that incorporate elements of popular culture, particularly comic book images and advertising graphics. Lichtenstein's work is characterized by its use of bold lines, vibrant colors, and dots, which he used to replicate the look of comic book printing techniques. His most famous works include "Whaam!" and "Drowning Girl." Lichtenstein's art had a significant impact on the pop art movement of the 1960s, and his work continues to be celebrated for its commentary on the intersection of high and low culture.
