Come for field trips…borrow science kits…attend
workshops
This learning center has more than 160
hands-on exhibits dealing with science and math concepts,
as well as the Riverview Science Park
for outdoor learning. This is a place for kids of all ages to
explore science and math: to touch, turn, look, listen, feel,
pull, adjust, try out, and question.
The Center welcomes school classes, K-12, other
organized groups and the general public. In addition to group
visits by appointment six days per week, we are open to the public
on Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm. Children below
high school age are admitted when accompanied by an adult.
Contact the Center at 970-254-1626, or Fax
to 970-256-9868 to make arrangements for your group's visit.
School and youth groups within the geographical
boundaries of District 51 are admitted free. We charge nothing
for admission of field trips for any schools in Mesa County District
51, whether they be private, parochial, or public. Scout troops
are also admitted free from the district. Otherwise there is an
admission of $1 per person (age 5 and older).
