The Western Colorado Math & Science Center is a Hands-On Learning Center in Grand Junction.

Exhibits for Exploring

Come explore and find out what 52,000 students on scheduled field trips have discovered since the Center opened in January 2000.

The Western Colorado Math & Science Center has more than 160 hands-on exhibits dealing with science and math concepts, as well as the Riverview Science Park for outdoor learning. This is a place for kids of all ages to explore science and math: to touch, turn, look, listen, feel, pull, adjust, try out, and question.

As our website develops, we'll have more details about our vast variety of exhibits. Here are two links with fun activities, plus see all the photos below.

Here's what you'll see in our first room as you come in the door.

Our second room includes the hydrogen fuel exhibit and in the back corner you'll find the bee hive.

Water bug from the newest amazing exhibit. Come see our underwater bug-cam.

Hydrogen Fuel Cells is our newest exhibit, thanks to the generous support of the Redlands Rotary Club.

The beehive is one of our newer exhibits thanks to a generous donation. Here are photos of the day it arrived, in Spring 2005. The honey bees were looking for a possible queen-site in the photo to the right. You can view our beehive from a window inside, but be really careful about getting too close to the hole on the outside where the bees go in and out.
